Charges Preferred?

Citing an e-mail sent to members of the Air Force JAG Corps, a posting on Washington DC Craigslist reported that charges were preferred against Colonel Michael D. Murphy, the former commander of the Air Force Legal Operations Agency. According to the post, Colonel Murphy has been charged with being absent without leave; failure to obey an order/dereliction of duty; making a false official statement; larceny; and conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman.

In a 1 June posting, Air Force Times reports the commander of the Air Force District of Washington has ordered an Article 32 investigation of the charges.
